It is well known that supermarket is the large integrated retail shopping mall which can lets customer choice automatically. Is the main commercial retail organization in many countries, particularly in the developed countries.
This week I researched three markets include campus stores, domestic large-scale supermarkets, and overseas large-scale supermarkets. In order to know what factors affect consumers to buy the products, I observed the supermarket layout, Shelf display, background music, Degree of light shade and so on.
My report divides three parts: basic introduction, comparison of three markets and summary. Next is my investigation report.
Campus store
First is the campus store. Campus store located near school, it is designed for quick and convenient services to the students, to meet the everyday needs of students, and the area of the store is not very big. And only has one floor. When we enter the store, the small store with the dim light has only 3or 4 cashiers and not have the POS. In order to be able to put a few more shelves, shelf space is probably around 115 cm. the store has limited kind of products on the shelves and also not clearly marked on each shelf about the product classification. Waiter does not voluntarily give you a treat and is not enthusiastic.?Only when you are in demand will be answering your questions.
Through surveys, I analysis of strengths, weakness, threats and opportunities about the campus store
Strengths: Because before that there is no business, on any of the store business model and there is no fixed format, so innovation is easy.
Due to the scale of was store, flexibility is larger
Weakness: Do not have certain management experience
Investments limited
Rookie, lack of business ideas
Opportunities: Because of the proximity, than those other businesses can better understand consumer psychol
