SECURITY RISK ANALYSIS SELF ASSESMENT FORM FOR MANAGERS A security risk analysis should be carried out annually or whenever circumstances change in a way that could effect security. This form is provided as an aide to self assessment by managers: Question Yes No N/A Action/Comments A General 1 Are your equipment inventories up to date? These should list your valuable equipment with serial numbers, values etc. and can be produced to identify property in the event of theft, arson or vandalism 2 Have all the action points been carried out from your last security analysis 4 Have there been any incidents of crime or suspicious activity in your area 5 If ‘yes’ to previous question, have incident forms been completed and submitted to school security 6 Has any guidance been sought on security measures from the security team B Staff 1 Are new staff in your team briefed on School and local security policy and procedures 2 Are staff trained in security awareness, surveillance detection and/or aware of the requirement to report suspicious activity to School security 3 Are there any particular issues which merit a security risk analysis- eg cash handling, working at night, IT security 4 Do you take steps to ensure your staff know School emergency and major incident response procedures C Building Security 1 Are all doors locked when areas are vacant/not in use by your team 2 Are all windows closed when areas are vacant/not in use by your team 3 Is good house keeping practiced to remove easy methods of access for offenders 4 Is the alarm system set and unset each time the area is not in use 5 Are intruder alarm users trained in how to use the system 6 Are IT theft prevention measures in place is high value equipment out of site, are PC enclosures and lock down plates in use etc. 7 Are there secure storerooms/containers for securing attractive portable items such as laptops/cameras,audiovisual equipment etc. D Keys 1 Are items lost by or stolen from your team routinely report
