Shakespeare and Hamlet Shuo Cao Playwright, Poet, Actor Owner of theatres. Born to a middle class glove- maker’s family in Stratford- upon-Avon, a small town to the northwest of London. Attended the local grammar school and learned “little Latin and less Greek”. Stratford-Upon-Avon Married at the age of 18 to a woman . Fled to London in 1584 and performed various mean jobs there. Started to work as an actor and playwright at around 1590. Achieved quick success and eventually became the most popular playwright in England and part-owner of the Globe Theater Shakespeare’s Achievements 37 plays, 2 narrative poems and 154 sonnets Shakespeare’s humanism.
