Course Objectives
This course provides useful techniques for analyzing industries and the strategic logics of industrial organization. Through this course training, students are expected to be capable of making comprehensive analysis of an industry and to provide possible may be valuable strategies for a specific firm. .
Grading system
Your grade in this course will be evaluated on the basis of the following inputs:
I. Class participation and presentation 15%
II. Case Studies 60% 3 case studies
III. Boss Competition 15%
IV. Final Exam 20%
Course format
The students in this class can achieve a high level of learning effect through participation in class discussions. To stimulate class discussion, students are recommended to study the readings before class. The lecturer and students both share the presentations of selected chapters or papers listed below. S/He should present the main content of the reading and lead the discussion. A handout is required for each presentation. Case analyses and assigned readings should be done in groups of about five persons. Case/reading write-ups are due at the time when the case/reading is to be discussed in class. No late submission of case/reading write-ups will be accepted.
