Two teams from USTC won two Gold Medals and an Award of Best Software Tool in the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition on November 9, 2010. USTC teams have kept the honor of the best performance in Greater China since its first entry into the competition in 2007. USTC Teams The Awarding Ceremony iGEM RoboCup Since 2005, USTC Wright Eagle robot team has won 5 international gold medals and 9 silver medals. Their related research findings have been published on many top journals and at conferences like AIJ, IJCAI, AAAI, AAMAS, UAI, KR etc. USTC has been engaged in a series of volunteer service activities such as “Students’ Social Investigation in Coal Mines and Other Enterprises and in Rural Areas ” , “Young Volunteers Project of Supporting Education in Poor Areas”, “Supporting Agriculture with Science and Technology”, “Providing Science Literacy Knowledge and Medical Service to Farmers” and so on.
