垃圾资源的回收再利用 我们每天都要扔掉大量的垃圾。但很多垃圾都是可以再利用的，约30%—40%具有可回收再利用价值。经过处理之后，垃圾又可以变成有用的东西，被赋予新的生命。如果我们珍惜资源，尽量回收利用，那么地球的宝藏就不会被掏空。 以北京为例，每天产生的生活垃圾达1.2万吨，1年产生的生活垃圾约500万吨。平均每人产生垃圾500公斤。如果500万吨垃圾按照5米高×1米宽的规格沿着北京三环路堆放开去，那么全长48公里的三环路将被这些垃圾整整围绕20多圈。据统计，北京每天扔掉废纸1500吨，废塑料1500—2000吨，快餐盒80万个；废玻璃1500吨。 目前我国每年可利用而未得到利用的废弃物的价值达250亿元，约有300万吨废钢铁、600万吨废纸未得到回收利用。废塑料的回收率不到3%，橡胶的回收率为31%。仅每年扔掉的60多亿只废干电池就含7万多吨锌、10万吨二氧化锰。 我们每天丢弃的垃圾都被送到哪里去了？我国的垃圾处理方法主要以填埋为主；而垃圾在土地中自然降解的时间非常漫长，而且有毒害的物质还有可能渗透到我们的饮用水中。如果我们把垃圾分类回收再利用，将大大缓解垃圾对环境的危害。 让我们都做具有环保意识的消费者，身体力行“三个再”： 即再节约、再利用、再循环。环境保护要从我做起，从小事做起。 获奖译文 中译英 Recycling of Waste Resources 作者：jiangxh Each day we throw away garbage in large amount.
