I come from Yaozhouzhai Middle School..Now I’ll talk about the topic “Narrate past events”. I’ll divide the instructions into five parts. Part One: Analysis of the Teaching Material (说教材) 1.Function and position of this lesson. This period is from Go for it Section B , Unit 10 , Book 3. It’s the fifth lesson . In this unit, students will learn to narrate past events. And they will enjoy some stories happened on April Fool’s Day. Students will be interested in both of them. Also they will be asked to tell some jokes. It will arouse students’ great interest. All those will be very useful to practice using the target language. All the students will make great progress in narrating past events. 2. Teaching objectives. A) Language ability: Key Vocabulary:announce,describe,panic,set off Target language: The reading passages about April Fool’s Day. Write stories happened on April Fool’s Day. B) Ability to target :Train the students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. C)Emotional goals: Try to collect the jokes happened on April Fool’s Day and share them with your friends. 3. Teaching Key Points A)Teach the students the new vocabulary. B)Help the students understand the three articles. C)Guide the students to write stories happened on April Fool’s Day. 4.Teaching Difficult Points A)Help the students understand the three articles.
