Teaching equipments: language lab with computer and projector Time arranged: One class (90minutes) is needed involving with two periods for the whole unit For the first period (45minutes): finish part A and Part B Listening Task For the second period (45minutes): focus on Part B Speaking Task, Part C Additional Listening and Part D Home Listening Period Main Content Time Required Period One (45minutes) Part A Communicative Function Listening Strategy 15minutes Part B Pre-listening Tasks Listening Tasks 30minutes Period Two (45minutes) Part B Speaking Tasks 8 minutes Part C Additional Listening (Passage listening, song appreciation and video clip) 30minutes Part D Home Listening 7minutes Teaching activities: First period: Part A communicative function (10minutes) Aims for this part: a. to get warming-up so as to awaken the students’ ears; b.?????? to help students get familiar with the useful expressions for expressing opinion. c.?????? to make students understand how to distinguish fact or opinion.
