5.library research

Assignment: Major Features of Second Language Acquisition Collect some relevant information through indexes, catalogs, abstracts and then take notes from all the necessary materials you have collected. Library Research 5 Libraries are indispensable sources for information. It is where thousands and perhaps millions of copies of newspapers, magazines, books, dictionaries, records, tapes, microfilms, and other reference materials are collected and made available for readers like you. College libraries are particularly useful today because most, if not all, of them also have computer networks. Most college libraries provide a map of the facility and a brochure that describes the services available and where things are. They usually include, but not limited to, the following: the circulation desk, information desk, reference area, periodicals and newspapers, books, and other sources. While in the library, you should pay particular attention to computer areas where you’ll find computerized indexes, CD-ROMs, and online networks. While there are many things to discuss in connection with library research, we will focus on: How to locate sources and materials available in a typical library What kind of strategy to follow while conducting library research How to keep track of your research 1.
