7. sink sank /sunk
The Titanic was a passenger ship which sank (to the bottom of the ocean) in 1912.
Student numbers have sunk considerably this year.
We sank (= drank) a bottle of wine each last night.The wounded soldier sank (= fell) to the ground.He sank into deep despair (= became very unhappy) when he lost his job.
8.tolerate
I will not tolerate that sort of behaviour in my class.
I wont tolerate lying.
My tolerance of heat is considerably greater after having lived in the Far East for a couple of years.
9. fault ?
I didnt sleep well that night, but it was my own fault .
Its my fault for not making your new job clearer.
Shes always finding fault with the way he work
