Unit 11? Internet Reading:Section Two ? How to make friends on the Internet ? I’m very glad to be here to talk about my teaching plan about How to make friends on the Internet ,taken from Unit11 Book II ,which is published by Jiangsu Publishing House. My presentation is made up of 6 parts: the analysis of teaching material and students , teaching key points and difficult points ,teaching methods and learning methods ,teaching aims, teaching procedures and blackboard design. I. The Analysis of the Teaching Material and the Analysis of students: ? Status and Function: It is a reading passage, which plays a very important part in the English teaching of this unit. This passage talks about making friends online from several aspects, such as importance of Internet, how to make friends on the Internet ,how to strengthen friendship and so on. It not only embodies the theme of the whole unit, but covers the important words and sentence structures of this unit. The former part Warming-up is the preview of this part and the latter parts are the enlargement and extension. That is to say, this part is a connecting link between the preceding and the following. II.Teaching Key points difficult points : (1). Develop Ss’ skills in reading, such as scanning, skimming and detailed reading (2). Learn some mastery words and expressions according to context (3). Retell the text let the Ss express their thoughts using the words learned in the passage. III.Teaching methods and learning methods: Teaching methods ?? ?According to the characteristics of high school students and the theme of this unit, I will adopt teaching as a whole method, task-based method, and Ss-centered method.
