Period 4 4a-4d Teaching Goals Teach the vowel letters and their pronunciation and try to classify the letters and words with the same phoneme. Review the letters , words and sentences. Help them to greet others politely. Review Role play the dialogue in period 3 in front of the class. Preview Read the following letters and try to check if they have the same phoneme. 下列字母中的读音中含有相同音素的打 “√”, 含有不同音素的打 “╳”。 (1)Aa, Hh ( ) (2)Cc , Dd ( ) (3)Gg, Aa ( ) (4)Bb, Hh ( ) (5)Ee, Ff ( ) (6)Gg, Jj ( ) Warming up and leading in 1 Play games about the English letters. Look at the slide and try to pick up the “apples” as soon as they hear the teacher’s instruction. When the teacher say the letters , the students should pick them up from the apple tree. Who can get the most apples, who will be winners. (设计意图:;通过听指令摘掉所听到的字母这个游戏,既有助于培养学生的注意力又是对字母读音的一个有效复习。加上游戏本身的趣味性,使复习字母变得不再枯燥,锻炼学生的迅速反应能力。) 2 Review the English names to go over the letters that we have learned. T: I’ll show the eight names on the slide picture first and ask you to read them. Then look at the faces and put the names in the correct alphabetical order. See if they can recognize them and remember their names. At last write them down on your books. Listening for the general ideas 4b1 T: First, try to read the letters and words in the chart in 4b by yourselves. Then listen to the tape and pay attention to the pronunciation of the vowel letters “A” and “E”. When you finish listening , please stand up and read them correctly and quickly .
