Processing Knowledge and Skills Improvement T.T.H. Suzhou. 1. Foreword. Understanding Injection Molding processes is a core competence of T.T.H. Suzhou, this core competence is conditional to meet present and future customer expectations and requirements. To reach a sufficient level of process understanding the company needs to follow a process oriented philosophy and the employees who are directly involved in process designs and maintenance need to have a certain level of education and experience. In China the Injection molding industry for high precision components is a relatively young industry, what means that the available injection molding experience is mostly experience in the low precision Injection molding. 1.1. Process oriented philosophy. Caused by cost and time pressure the general philosophy during process design and maintenance is focused on single part quality, “we need to meet the P.P.A.P deadline” This often means that process stability is pushed backwards what results in high reject cost in future production runs. The increasing demands of our customers to deliver stable part quality over a longer period of time by adding statistical process requirements to their specifications forces us to move our focus more and more from a product oriented philosophy to a process oriented philosophy. 1.2 Education and experience levels.
