The supermarket needs to be ready to make statistical analysis of all the information about the merchandise all the time. This system is based on the technological architecture of Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition, use of JSP Construction of dynamic pages and Servlet as its components，using Tomcat as a web server, using the ySql database as a storage object and visiting to the database are through module JDBC link, in the design and complete the process of deepening the understanding of the database query methods, but also a better understanding of the MVC design pattern.The system compromises the following modules: user right management, sales management, staff management and supplier management, hence managing the recording and inquiring of the information about purchases, sales and employees. Supermarkets may make better decisions by collecting and processing some basic information. Through this system, the management and operational efficiency can be improved, the operating cost can be reduced, the efficiency of the staff members can be promoted and the supermarket’s expandability can become stronger.
