Alumina Mine 1.1.1 See attachments (EtiBauxiteReservs2005) 1.1.2 The mine is open pit mine. There are no caving area. The deposits have been investigated with bore holes, 11 bore holes-over Mortash and 20 bore holes –over Dugankuzu. After having made a decision on the Aluminium Plant construction, an additional exploration of the deposits was carried out by means of galleries. The total length of the galleries in the bauxite of the Mortash and Dogankuzu deposits is 325 m and 225 m respectively. 1.1.3 Not available. 1.1.4 The bauxite occure on an utterly uneven surface of lower cretaceous limestones. The mine formation is elder mesozoic and senozoik. Those limestones shows very little difference litholitically and they devided as base (cretase 1) and upper deck (cretase2, cretase3). Base limestone (cretase1): These limestone located at the bottom of the bauxite and has dark grey colour. The colour of the limestone becomes grey near the bauxite and ligth grey just under the bauxite ore. There are some pink coloured limestone levels. The thickness of the limestone is between 0.2-1.00 meter. Upper deck limestones (cretase2, cretase3): The average thickness of bauxite is 120-140 meters. The first level above the bauxite is cretase2 and its thickness is 50-60 meters and has a grey colour. The second level is cretase3 and its thickness is about 70-80 meters, has dark grey colour. No treatment is done for bauxite mine. The bauxite ore is crushed using hammer crusher and stocked according to silicon module(Al2O3/SiO2) which is average 8.
