It is located in the München brewery in Stockholm - a 19th century red brick industrial complex now transformed into a cluster of offices, conference facilities and venue. pS Arkitektur helped Skype find this central and charming location, which attracts talented employees who wouldnt want to work in a bleak suburb. The Skype office houses about 100 employees, mainly engaging in developing audio- and video technology for the Skype platforms. The master plan and the interior design by pS Arkitektur reflect the Skype spirit - a joyful, user friendly tool connecting people all over the world. The colourful and round shapes of the furniture are derived from Skypes graphic profile. Also, the Skype logo, being a cloud, has been interpreted into cloud-like light fittings around the office - made up of clusters of large white spherical lamps.
