Payment Instrument There ate commonly three kinds of payment instruments in international trade: 1.Bill of Exchange 2.Check 3.Promissory Note The Bill of Exchange The bill of exchange, or draft, is an unconditional order in writing, addressed by one person (the drawer) to another (the drawee) and signed by the person giving it. It requires the drawee to pay on demand, or at a fixed or determinable future time, a specified sum of money to , or to the order of, a specified person (the payer) or to the bearer.
