Lesson1 Choosing a Flat.

二、课文重点:
1.词汇: talk about, need, face south, have a look(at), this weekend, should, agree with, public transport, important, shopping, supermarket, highrise,opinion;
2. 语言功能
1)询问他人的意见:
A:What do you think?
B:I think so,too./I agree with you.
A:Whats your opinion?
B:I think.../I dont think.
2)表达同意或不同意某人的意见:I agree with you./I think so. I dont agree with you./I dont think so.
3. 语法要点:
1)情态动词should的用法
2)复习形容词和副词的比较级与最高级的用法:Flat A has the largest sitting room of the three. Public transport there should be more convenient than that in this place.

1. Review the modal verbs: can, may, must, need; Quick response :
(1)I cant find my pen. May I use yours?
(2)Must you hand in your homework on time?
2. Group work: Discuss what we can(may,need,must)do and what we cant(neednt,mustnt-do at school.
3. Present the modal verb: should
T: Must we listen to the teacher carefully in class?
Yes, we must listen to the teacher carefully in class. We can say we should listen to the teacher carefully in class. We shouldnt talk with each other in class.
Activity: Making sentences with should and shouldnt.
Time ; five minutes. Purpose:
1. to get students to know how to use the modal verb: should
2. to stimulate talking
3. to cultivate the students ability to make sentences
Material: some pictures Procedures:
1. Show four pictures: a park, a classroom, a cafeteria, a street;
2. Divide the class into groups of four.
3.Ask the students to make sentences with should and shouldnt,
4. Let the students have a competition to see which group can make more sentences.
语法知识归纳:
1.should的用法 should是情态动词,是shall的过去式,表示“应当”做某事;should没有人称与数的变化,后跟动词的原形;否定形式should not,可缩写为shouldnt;用should提问时,肯定回答用should,否定回答用neednt;
2. should与must的区别 must强调说话者强硬的语气,should则更强调一种义务或社会赋予的责任.
