Britain then became a Roman province and so it remained until the beginning of the 5th century. Romans built roads, walls and garrisons and villas for military purposes in Britain. In 410 A.D., the Roman troops went back to the continent, leaving behind them Welsh Christianity, the roman roads and cities, especially London.
