Unit7 What does he look like? 湖南省花垣县麻栗场中学 石成坤 Welcome to Malichang Middle School Outline 1.Analysis of teaching material 2.Teaching method 3.Learning method 4.Teaching procedures 5.Blackboard design The first part:analysis of the teaching material 1.Subject:Unit7 in the book of Grade 7. 2.Object:30 students in Grade7. 3.The backgroud of this unit: This units in the English textbook “go for it” Second volume of Grade7.It is about the description of our appearance,student should learn some words and phrases to describe our appearance,more importantly,we should learn to speak highly of others. 4.Teaching aims: (1)Knowledge aims:Learn to how to use the following sentence structure to communicate with others,“What does he/she look like?---He/She is/has….” (2)ability aims:catch the main characteristics to describe one’s appearcance. (3)affective aims:make students learn how to respect others and have an understanding of others’hobby,also can promote friendship between classmates. 4.The difficulties:to use the words we have learnt to describe one’s appearance,such as short,thin,short hair etc. 5.The emphasis: is to learn the communicative sentence structure:What does she/he look like?---She/He is/has…….. The second part:teaching method (1)communitive language teaching method Students should be brave to communicate with teachers and other students by using the knowledge they have learnt improving their spoken—English,more importantly,which can consolidate their previous knowledge. (2)task-based language teaching method We should dedign the learning task according to the learners’ developmental level,meanwhile students can also acquire the target language information and communicative ability during the process of finishing the task.
