基本概念：过去进行时表示在过去某一时刻或某一段时间内进行或发生的动作。 基本结构 主语+was/were + doing +其他内容 注:doing 就是现在分词，词形变化与现在进行时相同 ★ 时间段： from … to … + 过去时间 过去进行时主要表示： ? 在过去某一时刻正在进行的动作 （a） They were eating breakfast at 7:00 am yesterday . （b） I was writing a letter at this time last Sunday . ★at+时间点, at this time, at that time + 过去时间 ? 在过去某一段时间一直在进行的动作 （a） From 1983 to 1998 , he was teaching at Yale . （b） They were building a cinema last winter . 规则 示例 1、一般情况下，动词后直接加-ing working, buying, visiting, talking, saying 2、以不发音的e 结尾的动词，去掉e，然后加-ing taking, having, leaving, driving, writing, making 3、以辅音字母＋元音字母＋辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节，双写末尾辅音字母，然后加-ing stopping, shopping, sitting, getting 4、特殊变化 lie--lying die-dying tie-tying picnic - picnicking 注意：若结尾的辅音与元音字母组合发一个音，就直接加-ing。 如：draw-drawing, play-playing The Past Continuous Tense (过去进行时) 基本结构: was / wasn’t were / weren’t doing + Sb+ Past Continuous Verb Forms 1. 肯定句： She was drinking at 6 p.m. yesterday. 2. 否定句： She wasnt drinking. 3. 一般疑问句： Was she drinking? 4. 简要回答： Yes, she was. No, she wasnt. 5.
