QQ Abstract: This paper is commissioned to study the college students’ attitudes towards the war between 360 and tencent. QQ and 360 are most widely used in china. However, these two companies only consider their own interest, and they both want to hold more market. The war started at the beginning of 2010, while reached the peak on November the third； Finally, the war was ceased by government’s intervention. The whole process has experience nine stage. The first stage and the second stage were not intense and not many people heard of it. From the third stage to the sixth stage, started about at the Mid-autumn Festival, the war erupted entirely. From the seventh stage to the ninth stage, many cyber citizens were not satisfied with the war, so the government got involved in and stop the war very quickly. Through this study, the paper concludes that most people use QQ to chat with others and use 360 as secure software too. Most people’s computer became battle ground to the two companies. However the war has a more or less effect on people’s life and most hope that the government should standardize the part of the internet industry and relevant measures introduced to safeguard the rights of the users. Key words: 360; QQ; war; Methodology and procedure The authors of this paper use the form of the questionnaire. In this questionnaire, we design thirteen questions. Each of the thirteen questions involves an aspect about the war. From these questions, we can study people’s attitudes towards the war. A total of 20 individuals participate in the survey. They are all from college students. Although the number of people involving this survey is small, they are covering different grades and to some extent, it still can stand for some point of view. If time permits we can design more questions in this question
