* A more dissipative forest model is now included in order limit the production of turbulence generated by the forested volumes. It faithfully leads to convergence difficulties. * The forest model is activated as soon as the canopy height becomes greater than the first cell height. The canopy height conversion parameter, equal to 30, can be modified (refer to ??Advanced parameters?? section). From 0.75 to 1.0 times the canopy’s height, the drag coefficient is linearly decreased. Eventually, when the forested volume partialy covers a cell, the drag coefficient is decreased (linearly according to the ratio of covering). * * * * Synoptic direction results are first interpolated all over the 360 directions (degree by degree), in order to build a correspondance table beetween the directions that can be measured and the corresponding synoptic direction(s). Thus, it is not mandatory to keep corresponding the calculated directions and the sector discretization used by the synthesis module. However, the maximal gap beetween two consecutive directions is equal to 45° (in order to avoid over-interpolating the computed results). When orography strongly affects the flow, it may occur that several synoptic directions can lead to one direction at the met mast. In this case, the corresponding directionnal results are averaged in order to make the transfer of climatology when this direction is measured. A ??debug_synthese.txt?? file is generated in the ??INFORMATION?? folder during the synthesis.
