Cognitive Linguistics holds this opinion that metaphor is not only a sort of rhetoric,but also a way to get known to things.It is one kind of cognitive activity in which human explain or understand things by adopting experience of one certain field to another(Dingfang Su,2000). It is the experience and similar essence of metaphor that have advanced the promotion and application of metaphor.In the structure of metaphor,the reason of the knowledge or experience of two kind of fields(source field and target field) are mentioned in the same breath is that they are “similar” to human in cognitive field and, this is the ability of metaphor,the ability of building new analogy across different fields.So,it is not only via visual sense, but also via other senses for human to cognize things(Yanfang Zhao,2000:101).Chinese netizens can accept and take full advantage of these similarities to translate English network language into Chinese network language.The similarities including similar meaning system,similar structure system,similar pronunciation system and similar shape system.In order to find out how the ability of metaphor of Chinese netizens was interrupted by above four systems and the degree of interruption,the author has launched empirical research to acquire the newest substantial information. 4.1 The way of research:Questionnaire Research. 4.2 Research respondents:According to the report of CNNIC,30.4% of Chinese netizens are at the age between 20 to 29 years old.So,the author delivered questionnaire to 1239 students among the age of 20 to 29 years old in about 10 universities,including Hunan No.1 Normal School,Hunan Agricultural University,Nanchang University and Urban Construction Institutes Of Tianjin etc. 4.3 Questionnaire design: The questionnaire totally select 69 corporas from Baidu sesrch engine,designed 72 MCQ involving the attitude of respondents to network language and the frequency of their using network language as well as their cognitive degree
