III. Suggested Timetable:

3.??The next two-class-hour session for SectionⅢ Maintaining a Sharp Eye.
4.??The fifth two-class-hour session for Section ⅣTrying Your Hand.
IV. Aims and Requirements:
1. Teach the students some useful words and expressions for booking a hotel room and services, checking in/out at a hotel.
2. Train the students’ ability to understand the main idea and grasp important details of the listening texts.
3. Give the students a chance to exchange views on the texts to enable them to have a deeper understanding of the texts and to let the students be acquainted with some new words, new phases and important sentence patterns.
4. Teach the students how to fill in a reservation form and some practical writing skills.
V. Focal Points and Difficult Points:
1. Making room reservations, asking about filling out a reservation form, checking in and out at a hotel, hotel services in America, and phone instructions in a hotel.
2. Mastering the key words and expressions: make a room reservation, a single/double/standard room, room type/rate, check in, check out, available, confirm, receptionist, reservation form, traveler’s check, credit card, in cash, accommodate, serve, contact, on week days/weekends, upon departure, provide…with, lack of, available, upon request, dial, jot sth. Down, lodge, ensure, pay (close) attention to, team up, highlight, cater to/for, directory, up-to-date, urge, focus, participate in.
3. Filling in a reservation form/card.
4. Grammar----Relative clauses.
