Unit Seven Music 一、教学目标 语言知识： 词汇：（理解、运用以下词汇）accelerate, fatigue, induce, lull, competent, attributable, commit, ensure, at the wheel, slow down, in honor of, 等。 语言技能： 听：能听懂语速适中的听力内容， 适应外国人的语音、语调。 说：能就某一话题表述自己的观点，能参与小组讨论。 读：能运用阅读方法阅读难度适中的英语阅读材料，提高阅读效率。 写：会写英语应用文。 学习策略：适应大学英语学习，通过小组合作学习，提高学习效果。 情感态度：参与课堂活动，提高英语学习兴趣；培养合作、互助精神。 二、教学重点和难点： 1、重点：1）本单元中出现的一些重点词汇，如accelerate, fatigue, induce, lull, competent, attributable, at the wheel, slow down, in honor of,等。 2) 学会分析文章的结构，掌握作者的写作手法，分析句子的结构并掌握一些翻译技巧。 3）有效、正确使用文章中出现一些关键句式、词汇。 4）掌握一些音乐及乐器相关知识。 2、难点：如何有效运用所学知识、内容。 三、教学方法 根据以学生为中心的主题教学模式以及整体语言教学的理论与实践，以交际法为主导。学生应以个人学习与小组学习相结合来完成学习任务。 四、教学安排 根据学生的实际以及英语学习的特点，本单元分为8学时（听力、口语2课时，阅读4课时，写作、小结2课时）。 Period 1 2 (Listening and Speaking) I、Contents and objectives 本节课主要是让学生通过听力练习，听懂语速适中的听力内容以及外国人的语音语调。听力材料1）围绕Music这一主题的一些练习材料；2）一些补充听力材料。通过练习，学生能运用自己的学习方法，听懂材料并能完成练习。本单元的口语教学内容主要是就音乐这一话题进行讨论。 II、Procedures Warming up—something about music Music is a universal language. It influences people from all cultures, educational levels, and socioeconomic backgrounds. It relates to our work. 0ur play, and our relationships with one another. It can make us dance, it can even help us fall in love. The oldest music is probably vocal music. Almost every culture has work songs, lullabies, love songs, and ballads in its folk music. Singing and dancing have always gone together for people of all ages. Eventually instrumental music emerged. Some instruments, such as the drum, are very old. Other instruments, such as electronic keyboard, are very new. Even the piano is quite new compared to the flute or the lute. Music can be performed individually or in group. Individual vocalist are called soloist. Groups are called duets, trios, quartets, choruses, choirs, etc. Instrumental groups are called ensembles, bands, or orchestras. Vocalists can perform with instrumental accompaniment, or they may perform a capella（无器乐伴奏地）. The main components of music are melody, harmony,
