Students grasp new words and phrases in the passage of Section A 教学重点: 1. Divide the whole text into parts and work out the gist of each part 2. Train students’ oral English during their discussion 教学难点;Grasp the writing pattern applied in certain paragraphs of the text 教 学 基 本 内 容 方法及手段 I. Pre-reading activities(20mins) Step1 Discuss the following questions in groups: 1. What is your ideal job in future? Why? 2. Would you accept a job as a trashman? 3. What is your attitude towards trashman? Step 2 Pre-reading listening Step 3 background information II. Text structure analysis and introduction of the writing pattern: a general statement supported by examples (25mins) III. Explain new words, phrases and difficult sentences in the passage of Section A (55mins) IV. Explain the exercises (45mins) V. Reading Skills (30mins) VI. The main job of this part is to train the students’ reading skills, and put the skills into reading comprehension. Even though they have got the reading skill, but their reading ability should be improved by learning more reading skills and practicing. Section A: The Trashman I.
