Existence and Multiplicity of PositiveSolutions of Boundary Value Problems ofDi?erential Equations200842()()Green:IABSTRACTThis thesis is concerned with the existence and multiplicity of positive solutionsof boundary value problems for several classes of di?erential equations . The thesiscontains four chapters.In Chapter 1, the background of boundary value problems of di?erential equa-tions is introduced. Furthermore, some ?xed point theorems and main results arealso given.Chapter 2 is concerned with the singular boundary value problems of secondorder di?erential equations. Under the suitable conditions, the existence of singleand two positive solutions is established by using the theory of ?xed point index.The existence of positive solutions of a class of systems of second order ordi-nary di?erential equations of three point boundary value problems is investigated inchapter 3. By constructing Green’s functions and analyzing its properties, originalproblems are transferormed into integral equations. And then, under the suitableconditions we gain the existence of positive solutions. by using the ?xed point the-orem .Chapter 4 discusses the same systems of ordinary di?erential equations as thechapter 3 under the di?erent boundary value conditions. By applying the methodwhich is similar to one’s of chapter 3, the existence of positive solutions is obtained.Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 aim at the boundary value problems of the systemsof di?erential equations. By coupling the di?erential equations, the boundary valueproblems are transformed into the existence of solutions of related integral equa-tions.
