The first period
Ⅰ.Analysis of the teaching material
The language goals of this unit are talking about ownership and how to make suggestions. The target language “Do you have a soccer ball?” is a general question. It is answered with “Yes, I do.” or “No, I don’t.” In this period, students can learn names of sports and the target language, Yes/ No questions and short answers. Students can get a lot of listening and oral practice.
