The Fourth Period
Teaching Aims:
1. Review the Noun Clauses introduced by ?that?.
2. Review the important words and expressions learnt in this unit.
3. Do some reading and writing to improve the students integrating skills.
Teaching Important Points:
1. Learn to describe the countryside, the cities, the people and their life by reading the passage.
2. Train the students writing.
Teaching Difficult Points:
Improve the students integrating skills--reading skill and writing skill.
Teaching Methods:
1. Fast reading to go through the reading material.
2. Discussion method to finish the writing task.
3. Individual, pair or group work to make every student work in class.

Step I Greetings
Greet the whole class as usual
Step II Revision
T:In the last period we learnt the noun clauses introduced by “ that”. Now well do an exercise to review them. Please open your books and turn to Page 40. Look at the exercise in Checkpoint 5. Complete the sentences by using the noun clauses. Do it by yourself first and then Ill ask some of you to give your answers.
(After a while, teacher asks some students to read their sentences. )
