Photonic crystal fiber lasers Abstract: Fiber laser is a laser field these years much the focus of attention, while the photonic crystal fiber has the advantage of a lot of traditional fiber difficult to achieve in order photonic crystal fiber as the gain medium, high power fiber lasers has been widespread concern. In this paper, the basic principles of fiber lasers for a simple introduction, and focuses on the study of double-clad photonic crystal fiber lasers. Therefore, it has replaced the traditional YAG, CO2 lasers in many areas. However, the conventional fiber laser , fiber optical waveguide due to structural limitations , the numerical aperture is small, low coupling efficiency, and to maintain single-mode core small size , easy operation conditions at high power nonlinear optical effects and thermal injury problem, the output power is very limited .
