A man can be destroyed but not defeated. 一个人并不是生来要被打败的，你尽可以消灭他，可就是打不败他. 选段欣赏： He was asleep in a short time and he dreamed of Africa when he was a boy and the long golden beaches and the white beaches ,so white they hurt your eyes, and the high capes and the great brown mountains. 不一会儿他就进入了梦乡，梦见孩提时代见过的非洲，那长长的金色沙滩和白色沙滩，亮的耀眼，还有那高大陡峭的海岬和褐色的大山。 He lived along that coast now every night and in his dreams he heard the surf roar(咆哮，喧嚣）and saw the native boats come riding through it . 现在一到梦里他都要梦回那一带海岸边，听着隆隆拍打海岸的潮声，看着土人驾船在海浪中穿梭而行。 He smelled the tar（柏油) and oakum of the deck as he slept and he smelled the smell of Africa that the land breeze(微风） brought at morning. 睡梦中他闻到甲板的柏油和麻絮的味道，还闻到清早陆地上微风吹来的非洲气息。 That’s all.
