City of Wolverton April 8, 2002 continued to April 9, 2002 Minutes of Wolverton City Council Meeting Pursuant to due call and proper notice, a meeting of the City of Wolverton, Council was held April 8, 2002 in Council Chambers, in the City of Wolverton, MN. The meeting was called to order by Mayor, Paul Daugherty at 5:30 P.M., with Council members: LeRoy Betz, Jodi Tracy, Randy Emerson Mark Nelson present. Also present were City Clerk, Alica Underberg, City Engineer, Kevin Maesse, and Fire Chief, Nils Hanson, Wilkin County Attorney, Tim Fox, Owner of Record of property at 325 Highway 75, Jennifer Tschakert, and Wolverton resident Paul Skoblik. Additions to the agenda: Property at 325 Highway 75 d.b.a. The Mountain bar. Minutes: talked about later in the meeting. Recap of Actions taken on Property at 325 Hwy 75 prior to Council Meeting: The North wall of bricks (about a two foot section near the top) had started falling out on Tuesday evening, April 2, 2002, while the bar was open for business. The bar was again open for business the next day. More bricks were falling every day and the cracks in the Northeast corner got wider each day. On April 8, 2002 in the afternoon, a huge amount of bricks fell, leaving a hole about 10 feet wide from roof to the ground. The City Clerk went into the bar to request that they contact the licensed owner, Sandra Hennessy to request that she attend the Council Meeting that night. The City Clerk was told that Sandra Hennessy was not answering her phone, but if she came in or called they would give her the message. The City Clerk went into the building to request that they voluntarily lock the doors. She asked if they were able to reach Sandra Hennessy. One of Sandra’s off duty employees was in the bar and he said that he talked to Sandra at 1:30 PM and that she was leaving for Minot.
