Morning is the best time to exercise. Is that common sense true? There was an interesting article in The New York Times. The author reports that science has 1 exercising between 4 and 7 p.m. is slightly better for 2 performance than that in the morning.
However, the article goes on to say that the 3 of an afternoon workout (锻炼) are slight and that the human body can adapt to (适应) working out at any time of the day. I must agree that a calorie burned at 6 a.m. is the same calorie burned at 6 p.m. The 4 is to work out whenever you have time, any time of day, any day of the week. Now, there are 7 we follow for exercise because they make sense and help us keep 8 and safe. For example, we have 9 training rules that tell us how often to lift, how much and how to do the moves 10 . But every so often, when we read exercise rules and guidelines in the media, we end up feeling 11 if they don’t exactly fit in with our lives, needs and goals.
I love morning exercise. I grab a quick cup of coffee and a banana as I set out to the gym and get it done before I 12 the workday. But when I find a client who absolutely won’t go for morning workouts, then I suggest another time of day.
You must have read, or heard some rules on TV, but you may find that what works for you is a little 13 . I’m not criticizing fitness 14 because I am one! I’m just asking you to remember to be 15 to yourself and bend the rules to fit in with your lifestyle, so you can actually do something rather than nothing.
