2. use charts to organize ideas when they write.

Step 1 Why should we use flow charts?
Lead-in
T: Let?s do some brainstorming and talk about the advantages of using flow charts when we write.

Step 2 What is a flow chart?
1. Tips for making a fruit salad
T: Here is an article about the tips for making a fruit salad. Can you use flow charts to show the three steps of making a fruit salad?
T: As we can see, the flow chart helps us get a clear idea of the article.
2. Definition of flow charts

Step 3 How to use flow charts?
1. Use flow charts to improve listening skills
T: You may like eating sandwiches. But do you know how to make a sandwich? Let’s listen to a conversation and then use flow chats to list the main steps of making a sandwich.
