PURPOSE: Control the introduction and use of hazardous materials within Thermo King products and locations. SCOPE: Applies to ALL Thermo King locations (e.g., manufacturing, warehouse, service centers and offices) REFERENCES 640F00-002 New Hazardous Chemical / Material Approval Form. RESPONSIBILITIES At the Thermo King business unit/corporate level; Engineering, Environmental, Safety Health, Manufacturing and Supply Management are responsible for implementing and maintaining this procedure. At a Thermo King plant/location level; Engineering, ESH Coordinator(s), Manufacturing and Supply Management are responsible for implementing this procedure. WORK INSTRUCTIONS Hazardous Material Definition: Any material that is or can be a physical, health, or environmental hazard. Any material that requires a material safety data sheet (MSDS). Hazardous Material Control: No hazardous material(s) can be brought onto or into any Thermo King location without a valid / active Thermo King part number. All hazardous materials must be assigned a unique Thermo King part number according to Section 5.6. All hazardous materials must be purchased and tracked by the assigned valid / active Thermo King part number. Each location shall maintain a central master file for all hazardous materials used at the location. This central master file shall at a minimum include: material safety data sheet, product profile/technical data sheet, and Thermo King part number for each hazardous material used. Hazardous Materials Use: All Hazardous Materials shall be properly labeled and stored, used in accordance with; Applicable ESH Regulations, Thermo King Engineering Standards, Shop Practices and manufacturer’s recommendations Hazardous Materials Inventory: All Facilities shall maintain an accurate inventory of Hazardous Materials, All Facilities shall maintain inventory at the lowest practical level for their processes (e.g., one month order, one month inventory maximum), An annual inv
