Abstract
This paper aims to discuss the application of SKOPOS theory in the translation of children’s literature, with two Chinese versions of Alice’s adventures in wonderland as an example.
With the development of economic and cross-cultural communication, the publishing industry has made rapid development. Many outstanding literary works have been translated into many languages in different countries. However, some translated versions are not suitable for the target readers. It is of great importance to employ proper translation theory to guide translation practice. Translation practice supported by suitable translation theory can better serve target readers. Therefore, the translation of childrens literature should be paid more attention.
