Given the development status of our electric cars, the country puts forward the development problem of electric car and gives some advice. The paper firstly discussed the advantages and disadvantages of pure electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicle and fuel cell electric vehicles. It also discussed the advantages and the development of electric cars. The paper has a good understanding of the reason that our country puts more importance to electric cars and related policies. In view of the present development of electric cars. This article makes a positive outlook about the future of the electric car：adhere to the three vertical and three horizontal development layout and the industrialization of research and development mode.
