* * * What is the difference between a Series and a DataSet? A GEO Series (GSExxx) is an original submitter-supplied record that summarizes a study. These data are reassembled by GEO staff into GEO Datasets (GDSxxx). A DataSet represents a collection of biologically- and statistically-comparable Samples processed using the same Platform.
