The BR site served for recycling motor battery, so Pb is a main contaminant; CCA site is used for treating wood using copper chromate arsenate chemical to prolong wood life. Without the treatment, wood easily decay, e.g., pole, fence. In the CCA-treated site, As is easily leaching into soil and is a major contaminant. The SR site is used for shooting activity. The bullets are mainly composed of Pb. So Pb is a main contaminant at the shooting range site. * Shooting activity is popular in the USA. There are more than twelve thousand outdoor shooting range in the USA. Not only army soldier or police take it for the training but also the resident people take it for fun. In the USA, every year there are about sixty thousand tons Pb deposited in the range. * We used physical treatment to remove the Pb by gravimetric separation which is based on the density difference between lead and soil, soil is eleven point seven while soil is about three. This is a spiral concentrator. * The left picture is a close-up view of spiral concentrator. The right graph shows us the treatment results.
