Then seeing that he was far ahead of the tortoise, he thought hed sit under a tree for some time and relax before continuing the race. 兔子一个箭步冲到了前面，并且一路领先。看到乌龟被远远的落在了后面，兔子觉得，自己应该先在树下休息一会儿，然后再继续比赛。 * He sat under the tree and soon fell asleep. He realised that hed lost the race only because he had been overconfident, careless and lax. 兔子因为输掉了比赛而感到失望，他做了一些失利原因的分析。他发现，自己失败只是因为过于自信而导致粗心大意、疏于防范。 * If he had not taken things for granted, theres no way the tortoise could have beaten him. So he challenged the tortoise to another race. The tortoise agreed. 如果他不那么自以为是，乌龟根本没有获胜的可能。于是他向乌龟提出挑战：再比一次。乌龟同意了。 * This time, the hare went all out and ran without stopping from start to finish.
