Summary
The City of Austin’s Transit Oriented Development (TOD) ordinance regulates development (new and redevelopment/rehabilitation) that increases automobile trips by a threshold amount. The ordinance employs a two-phase implementation approach for introducing TOD. In the first phase, TOD district boundaries are established and TOD district zoning classification is identified.
