Description The steering system is the means by which the driver of a vehicle is able to control the position of the front wheels. The system must provide ease of handling, good directional control, and stability. This is achieved by the steering system in conjunction with the suspension system. (1) Manual steering ① Steering linkage The steering linkage includes the steering arms that are attached to the steering knuckle, tie-rods and tie-rod ends, adjusting sleeves and clamps, a center link (relay rod or drag link), an idler arm, and a pitman arm.
