Essentially, ledger sets enable you to treat multiple ledgers as one. For example, you can open and close periods for multiple ledgers in a ledger set in a single submission by submitting the new Open?and Close Periods?programs from the Submit Request?page.? You must perform an account inquiry?to retrieve balances by ledger and account. You can compare the same account balance across multiple ledgers and ledger currencies.? When querying on ledger sets, you can view account balances by ledger. The balance is not a summation across multiple ledgers.
