一、教学内容分析
This lesson is Part A of Unit 12 Dont eat in the class from Go for it. As the last unit of this semester, this lesson plays a great significant role in the whole book and it also can be regarded as a combination of all knowledge students have learned before. The linguistic function of this unit is to talk about rules at school, family and other places. And Ss are quite familiar with this topic so that they are willing to participate and share ideas in the class. This unit is mainly about sentence pattern Dont…… is based on some previous study on the grammar about imperative. Besides, another sentence pattern Can you/ we do ……in class? is also important in this unit and Ss have learned it previously in the last semester in unit 10. Therefore, it is an easy job for Ss to utilize this sentence pattern to practice about rules. And this is the first lesson given on this unit so that the introduction of the new lesson seems quite critical. It paves the way for the following learning.
二、教学目标
Language knowledge and skills
·The Ss are able to listen, speak ,read and write the words: rule, hallway, dining hall ,fight
·The Ss are able to master the basic sentence pattern of imperative sentence like Dont eat in the class.
·The Ss are able to use modal verbs, like can, properly in the real communication.
·The Ss are able to talk about some rules in the class in the real communication.
Learning strategy
With the help of teacher and peers, students are able to participate positively in the various activities both individually and collectively, especially in the teamwork. They can also obtain new knowledge independently by the way of scanning and work as a team to further their study by deducing method.
