Chaucer (1340-1400) The poet died on the 25th of October 1400, and was buried in Westminster Abbey, founding the “Poets’ Corner.” Chaucer’s Literary Career During his life Chaucer was first much in France, then not a little in Italy. And finally settled down in England.
