Background information: The title of the text Art for Heart抯 Sake is a parody of the famous slogan 揂rt for Art抯 Sake? Many of us will associate of this slogan to Oscar Wilde (October 16, 1854－November 30, 1900), an Irish playwright, novelist, poet, and author of short stories in late Victorian London. Yet, as a matter of fact, his aesthetic concept was attributed to Walter Pater (August 4, 1839－July 30, 1894), an English essayist and art and literary critic. Pater presented his theory of ideal aesthetic life in 1885, that is, the stimulating effect of the pursuit of beauty as an ideal of its own.
