Period 4 一,Teaching aims: 1. Teach vocabulary words. 2. Target languages: I have a watch, a scarf and sunglasses. What does your father think of the watch? He doesn’t mind it. 3. Enable the student to talk about what people think of these decorating things. 4. Help the students learn how to talk about what people think of these decorating things. 二,The main point and difficult point 1,The main point: What does your father think of the sunglasses? 2, The difficult point : How to understand listening material correctly. 三,Teaching ways and studying ways 1, Teaching ways: (1)Teach by using pictures. (2)Pragtice in pairs and groups . 2, Studying ways : (1)Listen and write (2)Pragtice in pairs and groups . (3)Write some conversations. 四,Teaching procedures: Step 1. Warming up Check the homework by asking some students to read the completed passage. Then show some TV shows and ask the students to give their opinions using the structure “What do you think of…?” Step 2.Presentation Show the new sunglasses, scarf, wallet, belt, watch and key ring. Say, I have some fashionable things .I bought them yesterday. What do you think of my scarf...? Help them to answer: I don’t like it / I love it/I don’t mind it/I can’t stand it. Point to some things and ask a student:” what do you think of my new wallet? Then ask another student to point at the first one “What does he think of the wallet? Ask the students to read the pictures. Ask the students to do the match work. Check the answers. Step 3 Match SB page 68 1a 1, The Ss match the words with the pictures. 2, Check the answers with the Ss. 3, The teacher asks some questions . Step 4.Speaking 1b Point to the fashionable things and say: How many of these things do you have? Ask students to answer. Step 5.Listening (2a and 2b) Ask the students to listen to the conversation.
