Step 1: Warming up
1.Greetings.
Step 2: Revision and Presentation
1.Revision.
Game : quick response. Teacher show the cards about the festivals. (Spring Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-autumn Festival, round dumplings, triangle dumplings, mooncakes.)
Ask and answers:
When did Dragon Boat Festival start?
What did people do on that festival.
learn to say “dragon race” “celebrate” “remembering” “hero”
2.presentation.
After the students answer the two questions .the teacher tell the students that we are going to learn the story of the Dragon-boat Festival.
3.ask the students Listen to the tape and read the story and then ask them to fill in the blanks as follow.
Chinese people __________ the Dragon-boat Festival every year, on that day, they usually have________ and make__________. This festival is an important festival for remembering ________,a __________ in Chinese history.
4.check the answer and then teaching the story.
Tell the students the past tense of the words in this story .
Is –was, Jump- jumped , die-died, want-wanted, row-rowed, make-made.
Step 3: Practice and Consolidation
1.listen the story again, and then.read after the tape.
2.Ask the students to describe each pictures of the story..
ask the students work in pairs .and describe each pictures of the story with the useful phrases as follow:
