Passive voice(1)
Passive voice of the simple present tense
Language objects:
1. To help students learn the passive voice.
2. To help students review the tenses.
Ability objects:
To improve the students’ability (listening, speaking, reading and writing).
Emotional objects:
To arouse the students’love to our country.
Functions:
1. The students have got to know the passive voice since Junior school. They will continue to learn and use more in the following lessons.
2. The students are familiar with the information mentioned in the class.
Teaching tools: Multimedia
Teaching process:
1. Show some pictures and let Ss do some exercises about ‘made in China’.
2. Review the structure of passive voice.
be + 动词的过去分词
注:被动语态中的be是一个助动词,与后面的过去分词共同构成句子的谓语。Be随主语的人称、数、时态、语态等的变化而变化。
3. Review the three forms of the verbs, and give out the rules of changing.
a. 一般的直接在动词后面加-ed; e.g. work—worked
b. 以“e”结尾的直接加-d; e.g. live—lived
c. 以辅音字母加y结尾的,变“y”为“i”,再加-ed; e.g. Study—studied
d. 以重读闭音节结尾,且末尾只有一个辅音字母的,双写尾字母,再加-ed;
e.g. stop—stopped
4. Make the conclusion about the structure of passive voice in simple present tense.
一般现在时的被动语态(主+am?/?is?/?are?(not)+过去分词).
Butter?is?made?from?milk.
5. Let Ss learn the usage of passive voice.
1)不知道或没有必要说明动作的执行者是谁。
例如:Some new computers were stolen last night.
一些新电脑在昨晚被盗了。(不知道电脑是谁偷的)
This bridge was founded in 1981. 这座桥竣工于1981年。
(2)强调动作的承受者,而不强调动作的执行者。
例如:The glass was broken by Mike. 玻璃杯是迈克打破的。
This book was written by him. 这本书是他写的。
Your homework must be finished on time. 你们的家庭作业必须及时完成。
6. Make Ss learn how to transform active voice into passive voice.
(1)把主动语态的宾语变为被动语态的主语。
(2)把谓语变成被动结构(be+过去分词) (根据被动语态句子里的主语的人称和数,以及原来主动语态句子中动词的时态来决定be的形式)。
(3)把主动语态中的主语放在介词by之后作宾语,将主格改为宾格。
7. Make the conclusions about the structure of passive voice in other tenses.
一般过去时的被动语态(主+was?/?were?+过去分词)
This?house?was?built?100?years?ago.
一般将来时(主语+will?+be?+过去分词)
Trees will be planted by them tomorrow.
现在完成时的被动语态(主语+have?/?has?+been?
